It is a thoughtful gift and a way to be part of a community where architecture is used to create hope, empower people, and provide better living conditions for those who are marginalized and vulnerable.
Who are Architects Without Borders?
We are an architectural development organization, primarily run by volunteers. With expertise and dedication, we work closely with local partner organizations both in Denmark and abroad on projects that, through architecture and planning, help create better living conditions for vulnerable people.
What do you get as a member of AUG?
Architects Without Borders creates a space for knowledge sharing, debate, and engagement regarding architecture’s social responsibility. As a member, you’ll be invited to our “Evenings Without Borders” events featuring international speakers, member nights, exhibitions, and other events, and you’ll have the opportunity to get involved as a volunteer by signing up for our CV database of potential active members. You’ll also receive our newsletter—which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
What does Architects Without Borders do?
We work with and for people and local communities affected by war, disasters, or poverty, and we contribute our architectural expertise to create better and more dignified living environments for them—and we drive the green transition in the construction industry wherever we can. We currently have projects in Denmark, Ukraine, Mozambique, Uganda, and Tanzania.
When you give a membership as a Christmas gift, the recipient gets an insight into a community that practices architectural solidarity and shows that architecture can make a real difference. Membership supports our volunteers, our projects and our small secretariat in Nørrebro, which makes it all possible.
What’s is in the Christmas gift?
The recipients of your gift will receive a full year’s membership in Architects Without Borders, as well as a specially designed A5 notebook with 150 pages, featuring a mix of blank pages and a few selected images of AUG’s projects. In addition, each employee will receive an attractive A5 gift card that can be given along with the gift and on which you can write a personal message.
In addition, we offer to visit your office or company and give a presentation—for example, at a Friday bar or similar event—where we’ll talk about our work around the world and how members can get the most out of their membership.
How much does a Christmas gift membership cost?
A one-year membership, including a notebook, starts at 250 DKK per employee. You decide for yourselves if you’d like to give more and thereby further support our work. Our standard memberships cost 250, 450, and 650 per year, respectively. Membership automatically expires after one year.
Christmas gift memberships are only available for a minimum of five people or a single payment of at least 1,250 kr., equivalent to five standard memberships.
