Denmark’s largest architecture prize of DKK 1 million goes to Architects Without Borders in 2023!
We are deeply honored that this year the Dreyer Foundation has awarded us their grand honorary prize, which for the first time goes to an organization and not a private individual or studio. The rationale reads:
On the architectural side, the Dreyer Award 2023 goes to Architects Without Borders for addressing global issues such as the climate crisis and social inequality. They show that architecture can make a difference across scale, as they work with both strategic planning and built construction in close collaboration with the local stakeholders who will use the building in their everyday lives. By awarding Architects Without Borders this prize, we also want to strengthen the organization and give them a stronger foothold in the profession, so that in the future they will attract even more talented people to contribute to this important agenda”
The historically large donation will be used to launch more projects and consolidate the organization.
