DESIGNING WITH PEOPLE, as opposed to designing for people, creates more democratic and inclusive societies. Why is citizen engagement such a vital feature of the way we make decisions? How do residents from a slum in Kampala, Uganda, take ownership of a biocenter? How do people collaborate across power and decision-making structures? And who owns the land?

EVENING WITHOUT BORDERS is a series of events where members and curious souls can learn more about selected topics in architecture, urban space and design. It’s free and not just for members – everyone is welcome, so please bring a friend. We’ll also be offering a glass of wine or a soft drink and you’re very welcome to stick around after the debate for a chat with some of us from AUG.
