In Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown, we designed a combined clubhouse and social meeting place for a Danish NGO to help get young people off the streets and into a committed and enriching community.
DEVELOPMENT TARGETS
- To offer the vulnerable youth in one of Freetown’s poorer districts the opportunity for positive contact, which at the same time reduces the risks of involvement in criminal activities.
- Capacity building of local labor through collaborations with local artisans. The construction process also functions as training, internships through weekly construction meetings and sparring.
